Inaugurated in 1995, it arose in the wake of archaeological research carried out in this territory since the early twentieth century. The important discoveries made in the “Bocca Lorenza” cave, the observations of passionate enthusiasts and the regular excavations conducted by the Archaeological Superintendence for Veneto gave rise to some of the collections on display here. These tell the cultures of the people who inhabited these areas starting from the late Neolithic, passing through the Copper, Bronze, and Iron Age, and then in the Roman and Medieval period. The exhibition structure takes into account educational purposes experienced since 1986 with the setting up of a didactic archaeological exhibition which today continues with laboratory activities aimed at children.
